Dear Friends,
After 9 months of functioning Eheim 2262, I decided to open it and clean it.
Water flow is still good.
Give me suggestions as to the easiest way to clean it, and then fill it with water.
When it's clean, I'll make Eheim double tap connectors.
Thank you in advance for your response.

I have 2217s and am picking up at 2260 today. I usually rotate the cleaning so that I only touch one filter at a time and do regular cleaning of my hoses. I the 2262 is your only unit DO NOT completely clean it. Id leave the mech and bio goodies in there as is and just rinse and squeeze/ or change(if too old) the spounges. Sometimes I pour out some water but keep the bulk of it as it is your beneficial bacteria.

I know that. Another filter is Eheim 2080.

Here check THIS out. He doesn't give you step by step instructions but pictures of it being broken down and cleaned. Hope this helps, the cleaning of the 2262 is pretty elementary.

The only problem is that the hose first to log off from the filter.
Since I will later set the tap connectors.
