Late response, but I have used that controller for a year, no problems.

It was ok just fluctuates +/- 2 degrees F before it kicks on.... That's a little too much imo

Got my true temp jbj controller in the mail today, and I must say it is nice, temp is spot on and very accurate thus far. Couldn't be happier

That true temp comtroller looks like a good bit of kit. i have also had jagger 300w heaters. one failed just as described here the other flooded. massively over rated and over priced. i had cheap fluval units that were faultless until i shashed them.
