I know it's Taboo to say that around here, but I've had it with their products. Everyone speaks so highly of them, but all my experience with them has been one disappointment after another...I've had 3 heaters that failed in a year's time and now a filter that's been running for less than 6 months. 2 heaters just wouldn't heat up to the proper temperature and 1 that wouldn't shut off after it's preset temperature. Eheim Ecco was given to me by a friend who had it running for a year and the impeller broke. I replaced it and had it running for less than 6 months and the impeller broke again!

I'm about to take this filter out into an open field with a baseball bat and do it Office Space style!

LOL. you won't be able to blame it on PMS. but if you get video of that, I'll watch & laugh.
 
I have the same problem with my ehiem jager. Its been set to 81* and my tank is 84-86* but i have never ran any other pf there products
 
Yeah I haven't heard anything positive about their heaters. In fact, their heate+canister combo seems notoriously failed. But, I've been running 2 cheap cans of theirs for ~6 months and dig them so far, and I do like my new 2262 quite a bit.
 
I love the heaters. U may have to adjust the heater. You have to calibrate it to get a more accurate temp.

Just bad luck. I have 6 of those heaters 5 are 2.5 years old and 1 is 20+ the old style green one , never had any trouble.
