Electric blue Acara tankmates

I've been struggling with trying to find congo tetra which then got me thinking on different fish. I want something that will contrast well with the blue acara. Any ideas?
Dennison barbs would go nice but they get large. I think a 3ft tank would not be long enough for them. I have a group in my 135 and they love to swim lol. Maybe Lemon tetras or Harlequin rasboras.
Any ideas on what would fit my tank? I liked columbian and serpae tetra but was afraid that they would be too small
Serpae or columbian tetras would be fine in a 3 foot tank with the EBA. Just get a small EBA. I would do more than 6 though. My preference would be to go with 10 or more serpae tetras and no bottom feeders, simply because the bottom feeders may become out competed for food by the tetras.
But I wouldn't have to worry long term about the eba eating the tetra? I have a little guy right now at about 1 1/2"
Just picked up a pair of electric blue acara today and wanted to see how they would go with my 5" flowerhorn. LOL...The flowerhorn kicked the male acara into the cul-de-sac and started digging a pit in the trailer court for the female within the first 10 min I added the acara to the tank. I don't want any Frankenstein babies at the moment so I put the the acara's in the African tiger scat tank.
