Hello, I was at a lfs today and they had a fish that wasnt labeled, it looked like a texas to me at first. It was bluish bodied with red fins, very nice looking fish. I asked the worker at the store and he said it was a Electric Blue Carpintis and it was $29.99 @ about 4-5inches.

First question, is there such a thing as a Electric Blue Carpintis?
Is this a reasonable price for this fish?
How aggressive are these guys and would he work in my tank(see stock below)

He looked like this guy, except more blue in the body and deeper red in fins.
I took pic with my camera phone but of course it looked like crap.

Thanks for the help.

I have never heard of a EBC. if it looks like the one in the pic though GET IT!!!!

hard to say if it would work with the stock in your sig i'd give it a shot

the fish in that pic is a very nice red texas cichlid never heard of electric blue texas cichlid but red for sure and if its a red then $30 for a 4''-5'' fish is a very good deal i'd say get it if you have anouther tank if it turns out to be aggressive
