not a true carpintis it looks more like a hybrid now it also sounds aggressive so if you have anouther tank i say grab it

If i had an extra tank i would pick him up, very nice lookin fish though. Hard to just pass on it. I thought about putting up a divider in my tank too, but..idunno.

Looks like a hybrid to me. The lateral line coloration and background color are off for it to be a pure carpintis. Reading the title, I assumed it would be the "Escondido" variant of carpintis.

Thats what i was thinking too. Carpintis are already VERY blue, so the "Electric Blue" name sounded weird to me.

That fish in the photo is a real Looker!!

festae/carpinte cross.
have 3 of these in my tank at home.
bred them myself and no they are not sterile they lay eggs and they hatch just feed the babies to other fish tho
