It's easy to buy an EBJD, grow it out and pair it with whatever Standard female you have available...
It's very difficult to obtain two unrelated groups of Blue Dempseys, grow them out, select the best quality males for breeders, obtain high grade Standard females, produce two groups of unrelatedx BGs, grow them out, select the highest quality fish out of those groups...
Depending on which process the seller took... the justified price will vary greatly.
I know from first hand experience how difficult it was to take the longer road described above... I wouldn't accept someone's word alone that they took this longer road...
If the seller can veryify their claim... and if you have the intensions/desires/resources to produce and distribute young Blues... Then paying a hefty price tag is justified and worth it... As the potential to make your money back is definately there... but if your going to buy them, struggle with raising fry and in the end only produce/distribute a very small handful of Blue babies... then don't waste your time/money...
