What is a normal growth rate for a young EBJD?

If you feed high quality foods they grow up pretty quick. I feed hikari pellets and they are little pigs. About the same as regular jacks in my experience, maybe a bit slower.

pretty slow id say my friend has one he got it in feb at 2.5'' and its about 4.5'' now. really doesnt grow that fast imo

From what I've seen they're pretty slow growers, not quite as slow as Green Terrors, but close.

i Bought mine at 1.5inches that was 2 months ago now hes 3.5inches i feed him 3 times a day and i alternate differant foods so somedays he doesntget the same as the previous day. I feed him hikari growth and color pellets, omega super color flakes, Omega veggi flakes Omega Cichlid pellets and for froxen food he gets brine shrimp, blood worm, cichlid delight and krill. I spoil him and the younger ones

I bought mine about 3 months ago at 1" and its about 3.5" now. Eats everything so definitely not picky...

I got mine on April 30th, he was 3.5-4" and now he's pushing 7"s, he is growing at the same pace as my regular male Dempsey. It really depends on the genetics of the fish. If you luck out to get one that isn't super inbred, you'll have better luck with them.
