Thanks! That's a pic from a while ago, He really has a nice shape to him. I'm not 100% on this, but I believe the pointed dorsal and caudal fins is a male trait as for females their fins are more rounded off? That's just what I have heard though.

The fin shape is not an accurate way to sex the fish. How big are they now? To accurately sex they will have to be vented. Or wait a while and they might let you know.

Alright, well thats just what I have herd. How do you vent them??

Venting is done by examining the the underneath of the fish below the anus. V shaped is male U is female. However it's not that easy and the larger the fish the better chance you have of being correct. Miss identifying the sex of these guys is pretty common, A regular JD can be sexed fairly easly by the markings on the face but not so with EBJD's. One of the EBJD experts around here might jump in to help out, I am not an expert on these guys by any strech.

I just picked 3 of these today at Pet Supermarket - special ordered for me, a whopping $10 each.

I can't wait for them to grow up - they are about 2 1/2 inches each right now.

Sorry for the less than quality photos!
