Electric Eel Awating...

Traded my fish in today at the LFS and he ordered me a 30" electric eel due tuesday. This will be the first time i to do a bare bottom tank (not happy) but id rather do a BB tank than get electricuted trying to clean the gravel!Anyhow, heres a few pics, comments and suggestions welcome.

i figured an e-eel would stir up the sand and clog the filters. i have 2 350 biowheels and a canister filter all intakes about 5" fron the top.

lol thats true! and rubber gloves to make sure its really dead. I have been shocked by one and never want to feel that again!

Imy Q's for you are:
-how do you clean it sand with an e-eel? my tank is bare, only two large peices of driftwood and i hate barebottom tanks. i prefer sand but i would prefere barebottom if he/she is going to fling sand up into my filters.
-Also, can you keep anything else with it?
-is there any way to be shocked through the tank? my wife is worried my daughter will be shocked.
-* anything special i should know that hasnt beed said already?

i saw a show and i think there are electric fish and they may be able to live with it

there is the E-cat, E-ray and an E-skate but that dont mean they are compatible, you still have the option of one eating the other
