^ Or you could even hook up a Christmas tree with lights to the tank like a Japanese Aquarium did not too long ago... at least you will be looking at lights, rather than hearing random static noises coming out of the speakers?

I hook up speakers to my electric eel and it randomly goes off throughout the day. It is 18 inches (from jeff raps and have ordered another one) and when i measured the temperature with a medal thermometer i could feel light pulses).
The speaker i have makes beeping noises.
When i had my 3 foot electric eel it would have the speakers going off constantly.
