Haven't really tinkered with my samsung s6 phone and lighting. But think I have it figured out. The reflection from the purple and my led light emitting blue tints was hard to photograph.

Here's one with white rgb led and room lights on to counter the purple reflection. The major hurdle was to photograph it in a way it looks like in real person. To match the actual color tone. Finally found it!

Cant say enough how surprised i am looks really good. At first i thought man hes got balls lol

After my own experience and Polyaddict86 Polyaddict86 now yours confrims that lighting is really important along with the substrate

Ya, it kinda was. Just dove right in there. I needed to change to sand. After trying pfs, then blend of 5 different color blends of Aquarium Terra sand. Then to floramax natural, then red gravel, then red gravel / floramax blend.

I gave up on the garnet thing until I found an outfit called Kleen Blast. J jaws7777 & Polyaddict86 Polyaddict86 got the barton red garnet, then 30/40 mesh not being in my area. So, it did not look hopeful. Glad I got this purple garnet. So, if any here is looking or have simple questions. Feel free to message me or contact the manufacturer.

beautiful picture! I actually really like the purple. A lot more than the red. :) I hope the polys do too! What type of light do you have? I know you did the disco lights. That was a DIY mod right? Perhaps you posted that in a thread a while back?

RGB kit from amazon. Price ranges 20-28 bucks depending on a single or double led spool.
