Naw those snow seals are restricted and they get away with it because it's a "native" ritual... sorry i think thats a lot worse.

And again I do believe that the fish are measured and then released....

I just watched the program, and saw many 400lb sharks get their throats slit. And for the record, I like fishing too. Just not animals whose numbers are dwindling

Ok, seriously, I almost cried when I saw this on tv. It is starting at 10 on spike. Apparently, the JAWS craze is back in.

but yet you have that stupid avitar :screwy:
like i said in the other thread on this,
researchers get to do there thing
the meat is fed to people
and the little ones are tagged
a little fun/food while doing research isnt that big of a deal
so cry for something that really needs it ;)

taking tropical fish from the wild is no different than fishing for them!! I hate when people start complaining about one thing while participating in almost the exact same thing. Just because you keep them in a tank until they die it's no different. In fact the sharks they are after(mako's) are very abundant and like AwolAngler said, they only kill a select few animals and only in tournaments that are not every day. People need to start having a little faith in the fish and game departments in our nation. although they are not always correct they do a pretty good job managing populations. People forget, the ones that complain are just as guilty in destroying habitat for these animals as everyone else. That is why populations are controlled.

Hmmm, I don't think catching fish and keeping them in a tank, healthy and well fed is the same thing as fishing for them and cutting them up.

I fish and eat fish as well as keeping them in aquariums and the fish in my tanks look much happier than the ones on my dinner table :D

I agree with the rest of the point.

the end result is the same. Fish are taken from there natural habitat
