Emergency: help needed with swelling on disk

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Keep us updated on how the treatment goes. I have some ideas if this isn't successful. Watch for behavioral changes.

Good luck

Hey guys, thought I would update you with a few pictures I managed to get tonight. First pic is from the day before the treatment began.

Yellowish color seems to be fading and the area appears more continuous with his disk. The ring around the patch also seems to be a bit less raised.

Still holding my breath though.

Behavior seems normal. Still eating well. He likes to beg for food and follow my fingers up the glass.

Two pics from the morning of day 5 of the treatment.

Looking considerably better but I doubt it will be cleared up by day 7. My plan will be to do a big water change Saturday evening or Sunday morning and then repeat salt/pima/mela treatment with a stronger dosage to kill off any of the tougher bacteria/fungi.

On a totally different note he took some chopped shrimp last night so I'm feeling fairly good about getting a bit more variety in his diet. Provided he sticks to it.

Oh that does look a bit better. You can see the pink vascular tissue beneath it. Before it looked to be much thicker. I would repeat what you have done. Not sure if you need to turn it up and risk stress. Looks like it's on the right track. Things take time to heal
