I recently ordered an odysea 4 bulb 24 watts each a total 96 watts and it's standard output... Not high output... With no timer.. I meant to order the high output light with timer... Is this enough light for my tank or do I need to return this light.. My tank is as follows... Medium planted 36g bow front with pressurized co2 with daily fertilizing schedule.

It doesn't say high output anywhere in the light and also what does ps stand for?

Then it's this one...

It's T5HO, all T5 fixtures made by Odyssea are high output. The PS are the new models being released by Odyssea, basically think about like this; I have a 2002 Dodge Durango R/T 5.9l but Dodge also made the Durango in SXT versions as well. So it's just the name for newer versions of T5HO fixtures by Odyssea...

Gina, what's your concern? Not enough wattage? That's plenty of wattage for that tank. That will be a nice setup for you. Keep in mind 48" T5HO lamps are 54watts and they're about twice as long as those tubes. Only downfall is replacing those tubes yearly, or sooner in some cases.

Yeah but if you look around you can find replacement T5HO bulbs at a good price...

I guess it depends on what's considered a good price. 24" T5HOs are about the same price as a 48". You can mail order a case of 40-50 6500K lamps at $2.50-$3/per lamp. A lot more $ for fancy ones.

So then my plants will get enough lighting with this fixture? That's my only concern and I literally have been searching for hours and what is the appropriate amount of light that a 36g bow front should be using.. And to know if my plants are getting enough light at the bottom.

Also I am concerned about my substrate, I used sand to cap my dirt off with and now I'm hearing that there wouldn't be enough oxygen..
