i placed a 3 foot piece of driftwood in my tank last night and this morning my water was a orange-ish color. i dont want my arowana to die please someone let me know if i screwed up ive already taken the driftwood out of the tank

my ph level is still around 7.0 he seems fine but my oscars are acting a little slower than usual.
Tannins are leaching out of the wood. Pre-soak it in a bucket and keep changing the water untill its somewhat clear, than you can put it back into the tank 
like vanimate stated its just tannins.. you could do some waterchanges and it will take the color out, or like stated just take the driftwood out, soak it in a big bucket or rubbermaid for a while (changing the water frequently) until its done leaching...
Yeah, dont worry about it to much. As said before water changes will take the color out, but if you keep it in the tank it will continue to leak for a while. You could soak it, or a faster way to take the color out is to boil it.
