I wonder what your water parameters are. Daily water changes can only justify your situation if your water quality deteriorates rather quickly as a result of its appetite and amount of wastes produced.

Can you explain why I need daily water changes?

You should do daily water changes because your beneficial bacteria (the micro-organisms that filter you water) from your filters is dead from when you emptied your tank. Because of this, ammonia is going to build up in your water which is harmful to your little aqua buddy. After a few days you should be ok and not have to do a daily water change. It will also be helpful to check your water parameters often, that is if you don't RTC to start swimmin upside down.

But I added all new media.

You added all new media so you have no beneficial bacteria. Your tank is going to cycle again.

Think of this way, you are in the same position as if you just brought home that tank for the first time.

Sometimes in Fish keeping it can turn out to be a spray and pray kind of thing. I would say the tank is better more water for him to dirty up. Fish die in tanks without BB because of bad water perimeters these can be removed with water changes so if you do daily changes you lower harmful levels of ammonia and your Rtc wont die (in theory this is the spray and pray part of it) Grab the stuff from your LFS or Petsmart and make sure you do a good water change before adding the stuff to max out the time its in there before a water change and to insure your not trying to balance water that is bad anyways.
Good luck I love Rtc's so i really hope this works out.
Ps: Ive cycled 5+ tanks with fish like Silvers Arow's Oscars, and other Cichlids without problem. Its not the smartest idea but it works in a pinch

So to because I have no BB, my tank will take on alot of ammonia?
It takes as much as it normally does with BB the BB just changes Ammonia into Nitrite and Nitrite into Nitrate which is the least toxic chemical
