Most people would have the sense to return the product for one that was not broke



Of course you won't have this problem with the Emp400, it does not have a very strong pump. This just goes to show which filter is more powerful.

1. I am forgiving.

2. I never used an Emp 400, just smaller Bio Wheels on smaller tanks. Big tanks should use canisters anway. I think HOB filters should be left for < 55g tanks.

So what would you call it? A great product.

I paid for the most highly praised filter on this forum and it turned out to be crap, how would you respond? Continue to praise it?

I think not. I am just sharing my experience since no one ever talks bad about them and I think it needs to be shown they are as great as everyone says.

Some say Rena Canisters suck but I think mine are great.

but you are basing your assessment on a defective AquaClear.

everyone company out there has the odd lemon. thats just the way it is. that doesnt mean most aquaclears come broken. it sounds like it was used prior and put back on the shelf..

if you want to see how good the product is, at least use a properly functioning one right out of the box..

then you will see why everyone says its such a great filter for the cash.

hey volt i tthink is een your rena on a coralife TT..wats the flowrate and does it work efficient? i would rather just grab another fx5 for the sterilizer but everyone says no good lol
