my AC110/500 is nearly silent but sometimes buzzes, i give it a little pat and it's quiet again
does anyone know any large capacity hob filters that are silent? or canisters for that matter?

Yup. Same here. Try sleeping with a trian track no farther then 200 yards away and a major cross street about 3 blocks away. These F'ing train guys blow their horns at all hours. I think they get a kick out of it. I understand it's probably some law that they gotta do it, but come on, they blow it like 3 times and for at least 2 seconds each time. Heh keep on complaing about a lil water movement!!! I only wish...gomezladdams said:I cant imagine being bothered by the sound of splasing water from a filter,to me its the most relaxing sound in the world
