so if i get a super cartridge what should i put in my grey containers. also how last does the black foam go out in the super cartridge

The super catrige takes up the whole slot, so no room for the grey containers. Its a pretty huge cartrige. The black foam that come with the super cartrige sucks arse, they dont filter out small stuff so your gonna need new media. filter wool, or those blue pads work great.
ok so u guys are saying not to use the supercartridge correct. well for everybody else who is telling me was they are doing y dont u send me some pics so i can see what u are doing with your filters instead of u telling me
I do not use the super cartridge. Basically run the filter just like is says in the directions. Put the filter in the first slot so that the water hits it first and then the media container behind it filled with what ever media you want. i have two penguin 350s, somewhat the same but i put aquaclear foam blocks, a bag of carbon on one side and ceramic rings on the other side and that works fine.
I replaced the cartriges with these

Threw out the carbon and used quilt batting from walmart as mechanical media,throw it out and replace every few weeks or so.Rinse out the blue sponge when I do that.
