Nice new tankmate, My personal opinion is Most snakeheads can be kept with equally tough species of equal or larger size, so long as they dont pair up, I see many examples of single specimens with other channa and other fish species, I havent ever heard of A mated pair of channa tolerating another tank mates , And of course it's always a risk it only take one mood swing for a snakehead to destroy any tank mate

I too have had snakeheads mixed with other robust fish with little trouble.

I knew this to be the case, it's good to see that others have mixed channa with success:grinno:

So long as you are not mixing fish that require totally different water temperatures then sure it CAN work, but IMO is pretty irresponsible as there is the risk of Channa suddenly killing unwanted tankmates. This can and does happen, so why risk the fishes life/well being in the first place?

Hi
very true my friend, channa have been known to kill as have lots of baddly mixed fish.
We take a chance every time we mix two different species of any fish that has a fiery nature, somtimes it works, others it does'nt.
People have their own ideas.

thanks man, they do the work, I just change the water and feed them.. haha!
