Empty 65 gallon tall aquarium

tcarswell is right, Jag will get too big for a 12" turning space. they get at least 12 inches long, pbass is will get WAY too big in too little time. Im gonna go with Chad, get a single red devil. they are notoriously aggressive.

A 65 would make a good African Cichlid tank, and they can be quite fun to have. If you want something more predatory you need a much bigger tank. Your best bet is to wait till you have the bigger tank to prevent a poor habitat in the very good chance the fish will out grow that 65 way before you have the larger one...Lesson Learned lol.

why not a large or smallmouth bass they don't get huge and they are a pretty active fish

Get a Texas Cichlid. They are Bad ass bullies, they have nice coloring, and they will even take on fish wayy bigger. 12 inches in usually max size.
