Terrible is an understatment! There fine when there is enough room for sure. I love them and I will keep on to him for the big tank to come. :naughty:

Yeah, I've always had problems with them pikes grabbing my cichlas tails and fins. Can't have that when you have a tank full of kelberis.

You right about that. I am at the point where I want to keep Cichla with Cichla. A few Cichlids to give some contrast but I am starting to lean towards an all Cichla tank.

Nothin' better in the world than an all Cichla tank!

More like the Cichla attacking the 3 Dovii.

Wow , thats impressive. Dovii are 1 of the nastiest and badest cichlds out there.

Your male Dovii is gorgeous.

How big is he ?

I guess my brokopondo ocellaris will turn the tables on my satanoperca deamon someday because now my ocellaris is getting bullied by that earth eater.

So, not that it counts, my opinion is try a stingray. Get along great with Bass and adds a awesome wow factor to your tank. :stingray: And they are good at pushing the bass crap to the filter.

That Dovii is one of my favs and that is awesome he is breeding amonst others without tearing them a new one. Very cool.

Ahh its good to know others have the fish bug as bad as I.

He is 10''. The pit Boss in this tank was the 17'' Cobra Pike. The new Pit Boss is the 14'' Male Red Devil. The Dovii tried jumping him it didn't go very well, but they still breed in the tank and protected there eggs pretty well. Just no match for this Red Devil or the Peacock's. I know there will be a day when the tables will change and then the Male Dovii will get his own domain.

Had a Sting Ray for two yrs. Try is the key word here. The only reason I don't have one now is because I AM FIRM believer that RAYS SHOULD ONLY BE WITH RAYS after what happened to the one I had. Now Cichla and Rays mix with other cichlids just fine, I just won't mix some sp with other's in the future ever again. My Ray was decimated due to the aggression of my Pike Cichlid. It was not pretty and I know it was my fault. So Ray's only with Ray's from now on. Don't worry when I get back into Ray's again. :D It's going to be in a BIG WAY!

This Dovii is more special then you think. His father is a full 34''-36'' at our Local Denver Zoo. ;) This Dovii I have is 10'' and very adjusted to tank living with large sp. The day I picked him up from the Zoo he had baby's of his own in the holding tank he was in with three females to himself.
