They don't get feed that much in lfs and they are being kept in small tank. This lead to fighting and the external gills sometime gets damage. Once someone bought them in, they get enough food, good water quality and that's probably how the external gills start to grow back.

Another week, looks like only .5" growth.

What's interesting is that while the fish didn't grow as much lengthwise, this week it's girth has grown.

It seems as though the tail length grew the .5" while the body remained the same length, growing with girth.

In the pic below, you can see it ate a baby endli that was 1.5" smaller than itself :irked:

I moved the two orignal baby endli to the big tank with my other adult polys.

I wonder now what affect stress has on their growth. Took them a couple days to settle in, but their color and pattern looks great and they have settled in nicely.

It's sibling that also ate a 3" endli :(

Yeah I lost two, the two from you both were 4.5" and they each ate a 3" endli from Tongs! I found out the next morning.

At least I know though, you can't mix no matter how good you feed, I even fed before mixing the two to be 'safe'. The tail was sticking out so it didn't swallow whole, but it didn't choke and die, so that's good I didn't loose three or four.

Thank you for the horizontal stripe one, I owe you.
