Dude Ben where was that?

I sold the original one, but I'm going to keep the thread going with this guy:

I'll update tomorrow. :)

Is it just me, or are endli's more prone to cannibalism at a young age than other bichirs? Most of the posts I've seen are of an endli eating another bichir, and I've also read an article about a man who bred endli's, and noticed the babies eating each other rather rapidly. Can't say I've heard that same of other polypterus species...

I would agree with you dickies, most of the cannibalism I've seen reported on forums at post larval sizes is done by endlis, probably because they need to have such voracious appetites to do all of the growing they need to do.

I believe though that cannibalism will be a common theme any a fresh batch of any polypterus species, as it has even been reported in senegalus recently by a newer member here.

They are all carnivorous so it really isn't much of a surprise.

sorry about those little endlis Cohazard. sayang.

Salamat crowxviii, I should've known better.

Here is an update on the little guy, 5"

this is a failed project. 'TC' grew up to 10" quick and then mysteriously found him floating one day.
