Is the really nice patterns fish can become a faded ones when it growing.....?

What's the setup like? Bichirs patterns are highly dependent on the environment

I think it's mostly ljs that are dependent on that. I think ujs are more genetics like captive born dels loosing pattern as they get older,like mine had great paterns until they hit the 6-7" size then the pattern broke up. Coloration is still good just pattern went out the window.

Current Setup Lap showing her patterns wel. But only ansorgii not showing any improvements..Using black color chips to the bottom
