I had to do a similar thing to my mag 9 in my sump. I used a silicone pot holder.

Totally killed the pump noise

I lined the inside of my stand with foam insulation... guess the pad would've been an easier solution. Lol.

I love my fx5 but a 2262 is ultimately a better filter. Both get the job done but eheim is Cadillac of filters

I did exactly the same thing lol....white sound buffering egg crate....

Cost a fortune, I bought 2 pads for 2$.....
