Lymphocystis is common in both freshwater, and....salwater fish.
Yeah he came with it unfortunately.I concur with the others, my flowerhorn experienced this too. This is get when you transfer your fish to another aquarium. Since their is a possibility that he may get injured and that is the moment will the virus attack. Btw gorgeous fish.
Just a quick question would adding Epsom salts be worth while to stop any chances of a fungal or bacterial secondary infection setting in, I've read it can with lymphocystis, or would it be more harm than good?....Epsom salt won’t help. It’s a viral cause. I’d suggest cont to keep the water clean and make sure it’s eating.

So for the purpose I was thinking I would be better with aquarium salt then as I can't use table Salt in my aquarium can I.Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) is a diuretic. Sodium Chloride (table salt) is used for external bacterial infections

Oh I always read you shouldn't use table Salt due to the caking agents in it.ive used table salt, pickling salt, ice cream salt; they are all sodium chloride
