Still on the loose. no taker on the bait. guess it's just a waiting game and "keep an eye out".

this worked for a friend of mine who lost a ball python in his apartment.

turn the air conditiong way way way up to the point that its freezing, and put a few heat lamps up in a corner of a room along with a whole mouse, and take another and "brain" it, and gut it.
Yeah I thought of that last night. I turned on a clamp lamp with a ceramic emitter above the bait mouse. Didn't brain it and gut it, just left it whole in it's little bowl and used a small computer fan to direct the scent to a target area.
Hopefully constant heat and food = recovered snake.
With the air on and it being a basement with cold concrete maybe he's looking to warm up. All the other heat producing areas are being checked daily as well.

Update !! :) :)
Houdini has been found !! :headbang2 :headbang2
He's a little jumpy from being hungry, but no worse the wear otherwise.
He was found, of all places, under the cat's food bowl after moving it for cleaning.
Not sure how long he was there or how many times the cat ate from the bowl, but it's kind of ironic, since we were worried about the cat finding him first. :grinno: :grinno: :grinno:

great! if he ever escapes again u can put flour along the edges of the walls, because snakes dont like to travel in the open, and then you can see the paths hes taking when your not around.

You see, it's always the last place you'd expect.

Great news, glad you found him.

I had a Cali once hide inside the DVD player.

And a Sinaloe once eloped for 15 days, in the frame of time my baby daughter was born and brought home, and was found by my wife in our bathroom.

My wife HATES snakes. She had a 15 day old baby in the house. She was aware the snake had escaped ( although I lied and said it was outside ), She understood that the snake was loose in the house where her baby was.

NOW, GO FIGURE.......

Glad you found it, thats good news? Better get a pic up quick before it goes again! You soughted the problem out?
