people on this site like to slam the new guys, its like survival of the fittest, the ones who stay end up being apart of the mfk family!

To be honest, I didn't realize this guy was new until someone pointed it out. I bet Japes and Shamrock didn't notice either. If Neo or Gr8 had have posted this thread I would have said all the same things.

i have owned cyanos and currently own a 6 inch escondido, and they near exact in all aspects,

I own green and blue Tex, I guess I should have made that clear earlier. I agree that they are the same.

yea but thats the thing, neo or gr8 would have never posted that, the new guys get the flak because they do stuff different(wrong w/e you want to call it), the ones that stick around are the ones who learn.

I agree, but I think it should be pointed out that plenty of newcomers don't act a fool on the site just cause they're new. I do agree that in time anyone can learn alot here. I know I have.

In what way are two different species "the same"?

temperment, size, growth rate, everyting except color

If you had a kitten that got ran over and wasn't going to make it would you feed it to your dog. Just because in the wild a dog might eat a injured kitten to save a few days of dog food. To me it sounds like a person who thinks fish don't have feelings, but I could be wrong. Either way sorry for your loss.

Actually I'm not bothered by the newbie-live an learn! I am bothered by HerCrenvie's bold statements (not the first time).
Anyways years ago my brothers had a mix tank and really didn't know much about cichlids there Red Devil went psycho and killed a lot of there fish-the next morning four fish were bitten bad-I mean no scales, no fins, could bearly swim-I mean they looked bad-my brothers sold the Devil and put those four in a 30 gallon hospital tank-guess what they made it as a matter of fact those four fish eneded up living a long happy life-BTW it was a weird combo Oscar, Sal, Jag, and Convict! Point is people make mistakes my problem is-don't give up on the fish making it-especially a cichlid they are very resiliant fish-you would be surprised.
