Escondido x Flowerhorn

Have anyone seen a Escondido crossed with a Flowerhorn ?

If so can you post pictures and whats your input on the cross.

The reason why i am asking is because my female Red Dragon and Escondido male mated and i have little fry swimming around on the bottom of the tank.

Please help anyway you can.

I have never, but hybrids are very likely when both species carry similar traits. Hope I helped.

Every Texas FH cross I've seen seem to end up with more Texas genes than FH, that grey body, not as masculine body shape, not a huge head.. I'd love to see a FH x Texas cross that has mostly FH traits with the Texas pearling, that's the key.

My buddy did it before with a male texas and a female cherry red fh. The growouts ha keep looked very srt.

It is a step backwards... The fish will turn out gray or brownish base with texas pearls.

Bean , can you show me any images to validate your opinion ? I been searching and cannot find anything. Does anyone has any pictures ?

I can. This is a classic yellow FH x shortbodied cyano Texas. Cool boxy body but that's about it, and it's the only one in the batch that got it.

Is that a female and have you ever bred her ? IF yes how was the outcome

I didn't breed her, I gave the guy that bred her the shortbodied cyano female. He's tried to breed her with this fish, nothing happened: Click for Breeding Video

And the mother, she was actually really blue/green with pearls:

Looking at those two fish, the offspring I posted before really doesn't compare in terms of coloration to either of the parents, IMO.
