u forget something...
forget to send to me a lil bit of your fries

Love these guys....are any for sale?

omg they're so cute!

would they still be called "sb texas"?

Yes because they are indeed short bodied fish. The short body gene is dominant, when sb is bred to normal 50% of the fry will be sb. Sb to sb produces 100% sb, in other words these fish will breed true and produce 100% sb fry.

Hello, your fishes are super cute. But as long as I know short body gene is recessive and both parents must carry short body gene to have sb offspring I had a few hundred fry from sbXnormal convict, sb consXnormal sajica , normal conXbp and all the fry were normal bodied , also I'm a big fan of sb fish and search the web about sb fish for years and this is the first time that I see a pure blood breed with a short body and results short bodied fry. Can anyone explain me this situation?

The short body gene as it is known in blood parrot fish and flowerhorns is indeed (acording to every source I could find on the matter) a dominant trait. Fully 50% of these fry were sb, that simply wouldn't be possible if this was a recessive gene. Are your sb fish part parrot?

I'm very surprised you didn't get any sb fry with the normal con X bp cross, everything I know about bp tells me you should have had 50% sb fry.
