Establishing a breeding population of Clown Loaches in....Florida?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
What is the required temperature for the loaches, because a simple solution would be to run the water coming out of the well through a solar heater (no electricity) simply the water runs through a series of small black tubes that heats up the water and runs it directly into the tank or pond. The only setback would be in the evenings when the sun is gone. Then the water goes back to 72 deg gradually until morning.

oops yup you sai wholesale sorry bout that

but its not going to be less than 1$

and land here is way cheaper

but yeah breeding it here and exporting to us is not cost efficient

how much is a clown loach in the us or canada anyways?? retail rates

An ideal temp range for maintaining clown loaches would be approx 80-85F. For breeding, a pH range of 5-6 would also be ideal. While the former may possibly be doable on a smaller scale, the latter may not prove to be quite as easy.

pao - prices can vary greatly among retail vendors, with a 3 inch clown selling anywhere from $10.00-$20.00 US. Below are some prices recently posted by a local Canadian retail vendor.

Clown Loach Botia macracantha 4cm (1.5") $8.00
Clown Loach Botia macracantha 5cm (2") $12.00
Clown Loach Botia macracantha 6.5cm (2.5") $24.00
Clown Loach Botia macracantha 7.5cm (3") $28.00
Clown Loach Botia macracantha 10cm (4") $38.00
Clown Loach Botia macracantha 12cm (4 3/4") $48.00
Clown Loach Botia macracantha 14cm (5.5") $75.00

kinda expensive! I suggest you should buy a land in another country near its orgin or has the same weather that is if you have enough money and if you are really serious about it it will save you so much money becuase labor is cheap 40$-120$ a month and food is cheap and porbably you will earn so much money.
