Different fish. The female Con actually Killed the female HRP in question and now spawns with the male HRP and have babies. Now THOSE are hybrids and I am not saving them as stated in that post.

No reason for you to get nasty. I accept and consider all input.

....Bill

And I Quote"My stud male HRP spawned with my pretty female Con again. These guys seem to have small spawns. I will let nature take its course as usual since they are hybrids."

The striping is all different thoes of an HRP are alot more spread apart than that of a convict.

Look at my pics I posted genius. His fish are of the same species, mine were not. There is a very visible difference in Convicts and Honduran Red Points. They're very similar in a lot of ways. But different.

Sexing Information: Males grow slightly larger and may grow a small nuchal hump. Males are usually a more icy blue color with possible shades of green. Once mature, the male can display a red coloration in the dorsal fin and tail. Females are typically a darker powder blue color and their finnage is usually a darker navy blue.

Then for the female Convict:

Sexing Information: Males tend to be larger with a more pronounced hump on their head. Females have some orange coloration to the underside of their belly

Monte, I would have no trouble buying your fish as HRP. Nice looking fish!

The fry he wants to sell are grown out. They were born to the two HRP in discussion. Since their birth, the female Con (*****) killed off the HRP female. She has now spawned with the grieving widow male. Those tiny fry are the result of this dramatic relationship.

In other words...his story is exactly what he said it was!

your post on that web site was "Thu Jan 13, 2011 8:50 pm " not a chance sorry but those are the same fish.

You sir, do not know what you're talking about. He said his female HRP was killed, now if you look at the pic he posted in the original post and NOT that video from another site, you'll see a big difference. Do you realize how prolific HRP's and Convicts breed? I had eggs every week and a half after pulling my fry. He never noted WHEN these fry were born. But he DID say WHO they were from and you're looking at 2 completely different fish from the pics to that video on the other site.

To the OP, it's your call. I personally would feel comfortable enough to sell them based off owning Convicts and HRP's that they are infact HRP fry. Her coloring fits the description off that site I linked in the last post.

Thanks CLDarnell and Gator.

I would like to think that I have been on this site long enough to see that I dont have a reason to tell "fish stories".

CrazyIrish. Enough already. I have heard your opinion and now you are getting disrespectfull and personal.

And further namecalling will be dealt with accordingly. Don't make the mods intervene and give you the boot if it comes to that. Thanks.
