Eurobracing your DIY Glass tank

Eurobracing is often placed on top of the glass. The front and back panels have two long strips that go from corner to corner. The two width strips sit between the length strips from front to back. The width strips are siliconed to the top of the tank as well as the front+back strips. Here’s a picture

Sorry for the delay, here is a quick sketchup for the tank I was thinking of. Curious what you guys think and thoughts? Was going to do a closed loop with standpipes behind the corner filters. The braces on the top are 12" wide 3/4" thick. The inside bracing is 4" the length of the glass.

It looks god. But i would not put a brace on top of the corners where the standpipes goes.

Or even cut them back to half width so they give support but you can still access the standpipe openings if needed. ?
I think he can pull it of by skipping the two side braces if he widens the centerbrace a little.

Is that mattenfilter in the corners? It would probably be OK with the brace above. A solid weir, not so much, unless removable.

Is this to be bottom-drilled?
