Whats up with only eating the heads? My nine inch marbled has eaten the heads off of:
(2) Orange Rainbows
(2) Blue Rainbows
(3) Roseline sharks at $35 per shark (ouch)

He leaves the neons, hets, pleco, and juparis alone; He gets market shrimp for breakfast and then shrimp again at dinner time so he shouldn't be hungry;

I think he just likes to eat fish heads!

That's a shame, but one the whole reason I haven't put anything with my rays. (Yet)

It was a shame to lose them but the tank was originally purchased and setup with the sole intent of keeping rays so I consider the initial fish as "break in fish" for the aquarium; I am very eager to acquire my next specimen once the economy picks up a little, maybe a leo or henlei....

I just had to remove my 15" florida gar from my tank, since it was getting in the habit of bit/latching onto my 6" reticulated ray everytime i fed them. I can't believe the stingray at a larger size could do this. Gars seem like their bulletproof.

Man...snout and all huh?!

wow.. that's a crazy picture. Gar's are awesome fish too. My buddy had one in his tank and it would never leave the top of the water column. Weird to see a ray attack him.

Was the gar sick or acting funny at all? (Just curious, not calling you out or anything like that)

Wow frightening!!!
