i had my rays eat my aros and dats b4 and just recently. they are predators and monsters and the saying "if it fits in its mouth it will eat it" applies to the rays also, but it seems like they go beyond that to a different level of extreme and eat the bigger fish. i've watched them eat whole shrimp with shell on and its a nice sight to see as they eat the inside out and leave the outer parts. point being is maybe the rays like certain parts of certain fish and on others they dont discriminate and eat it whole. then again i'm sure if given the time your ray would have finished the rest of his meal or maybe your rays just like the taste of "head" only...lol
