Ever feel your tank is "just not big enough"?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It happens to most of us eventually - I believe that it is called MonsterFishKeepers Syndrome. It is a chronic condition, I've been suffering from MFKS for going on thirty years.

Hmm when I was my old house i started with a 60 anyways after we moved I kinda quit the hobby . Anyways when I moved I had the itch again so I started small from a 20 and after a few days 100 gallon never set it up bought a 200 gal tank i but a stand but I end up not setting it up gave it to my mom lolz ... anyways finally got a 300 well thats what they told me but actually it was a 294.5 gallons lolz built a custom sump and a metal stand / with a woodskin and that all happened in less than 2 months lolz. anyways I have kept the tank for almost 1 yr and a half now Im already selling my tank I want something bigger lolz or this dimension that my LFS is fighting me on the dimension 81x36x35 they said the depth is too much but I know there are glass tanks 36inch in depth lol.

I just got a headache trying to read and comprehend what you were actually trying to say throughout you post. I hate the headaches I get

55g was big, then i got 100g then turned it into a sump for 500g... 500g would make a good sump for like a 2500g is what ive been thinkin

Yeah my gf just doesn't understand. My 650g is getting installed next wednesday and I am already thinking how long to wait before mentioning the prospect of a bigger tank!
Between telling her 'should of got a bigger tank' and 'what to stock it with' she thinks I am crazy. We are building a house she is organising almost everything on the build my mind is just focused on all things tank related, ha ha.

Seems to be a repetitive story.. I started sharing a 10g with my roommate and it wasn't enough for me, I got a "55g" actually 60g off craigslist and now I'm sitting with a 75g. I thought it was really big until I sold my Oscars and got into Dats.. I thought a 180 or 210 would suffice but I recently realized I might as well skip the nonsense and just make an indoor pond tipping the 1000g mark.. jonesin for a bigger tank all the time. :D

Just two weeks ago I bought a 20 galon long to start out with. The next day i found this site.Saturday im going to pick up a 125 gallon lol and i want to build a plywood 250 gallon eventually or find a nice used one.Its very addicting. My girlfriend says we have to find a house with my own manbearpig cave.
