i use to have two fiddler crabs and when i was cleaning out the filter, i felt a sharp pinch and was surprised to see one of my crabs in there...hhaa
convicts, my bro had a tank with some breeders in there and large gravel. well i took the tank over and changed it to mbuna, well got rid of the big gravel and when i went to clean out all the gunk under the under gravel filter that wasn't even in use, about 10 one inch convicts came swimming out amongst a ton of waste. i couldn't believe it.
It's pretty much unanimous...we all thought these guys were dead, then suddenly reincarnated...isn't that like free replacement?
Was round one of my cousins once when his wife was cleaning the sump from their rift valley community tank, think she found 5 of the Cichlids hiding down there! There's now a mesh over the pipe.
Try cleaning a AC110 to a 10-12 RES and see what you find. Nassssssssty. I have found 6 Molly fry in an AC110 a few years ago before I gave them away.
On three occasions I have found one of my 3-4" modestas in the back of my hob filters. Now when they are missing, I look there first.
lol i found a juvie yellow lab in my fluval fx5. dont know how that little guy made it, but hes alive and well in the 180 gallon with the rest of the africans
