I pulled 10, count 'em TEN, Ps. elongatus out of my canister over the weekend. One had got itself so far embedded in the coarse filter foam it didn't survive being extricated.
Dropped it in the tank anyways and my N. venustus made a snack of it. Waste not, want not.
If they were only half an inch long they might have been eating those lil arthropods and misc. dot-sized bugs that come out of your gravel...
Heh, I added too many blackworms once and the next time I cleaned my power filter, there was a colony of them in the filter sponge! (As in, reaaly fine sponge)
giant danio fry as previously mentioned in my fluval 304 , I thought the catfish had eaten them all but as it turns out the ones that got sucked in the filter about half were alive(I wasnt intentionally breeding at the time)
