Ever wonder what happens when you get stung by a ray?

I ended up with two stingers lodged in my arm.......... the culprit is on the right

Shortly after the first surgery

Soon after, the skin necrosed, and I ended up with this:

All of that tissue died away, and I ended up with my muscle totally exposed on that arm. I was hooked up to a hemovac for months. (You can see SOME muscle tissue in that photograph through the necrosis). Took 6 months to heal. This is the scar I'm left with:

Look closely at the arm on your right, right above the watch.........

I hope its a warning to ray keepers to be more careful. It really is no joke to get
tagged seriously be a ray.

Burn is not the word. I had to have surgery to have the stingers actually removed. It was a pulsating throbbing pain that was indescribibly horrid. I had to be hooked up to a demorol drip to handle it while waiting for surgery.
