Some Cool Cats?

Bolt Cat
Pitramutra (Gold Pim)
Orange Lazer Cory
Spotted Tatia

Bronze Lazer cories are awesome! Selling any?

Strangest fish I have....and Kind of common but not really. I think they are strange because it's like a cross between a catfish and a pleco all in one.

This would seem the perfect time to post a pic of my 'main man'; this is 'Scary' my 11" Tilapia Mariae he was my first fish and still my absolute favourite...greets me like a puppy when i come home from work....:D

The main tilapia species you guys over there seem to keep are Buttikoferi; I think you are more likely to see Mariae in your local fishmongers than your pet store in the US which I think is a great shame; this is a highly under-rated fish in the hobby.......

Yup RD this fish is mainly farmed as a food fish altho' the Red tilapia is probably still the most popular on the dinner table, I have to close my eyes when I see them in our local supermarket.......

Mariae like Scary can get up to 15" tho' I think he is going to stick at around 11. Which considering his beginnings is a major achievment.....I saved him from getting 'flushed' as a 3" baby....he was killing all of my Mum's community fish. I had very little fishkeeping knowledge and his first home was a 12" hex goldfish bowl with no heater(our weather is similar to NY so he must be tough) or filter and I performed 100% w/cs weekly !!!! After I nearly lost him on one particularly cold night I started to do some research and within a few weeks I found him a 20gal with heater/filter etc. I still new nothing about cycling tho and just dumped him in.....no dechlorinator either.......a little more reading and a few posts on 'unidentified fish' sections in forums and I was on the right track. soon he outgrew the 20 moved up to a 40 and now he has his own 60. I dare not put anything in with him as he is incredibly aggressive.....his 'puppy' behaviour is on the condition I stay outside his tank...w/cs are fun and he has drew blood in the past ! Now we have an understanding he actually goes to sleep when I do a w/c(eyes glaze over the whole bit), the only thing I can't mess with is the way he likes the rocks arranged....try to move them and he attacks which can be frustrating......Still an amazing fish....love his red eyes.....

Reading your heart warming story on him almost brought tears to my eyes.. what a story that is.. everything against survival and yet here it is strong and beautiful and tough.. and most of all i feel a sense of joy that he has you to care and love him.. most remarkable you have each other..beautiful fish and i am happy you posted his picture or i would have never known anything about them.. and i do not eat Talapia ..thank goodness!!! ;)
