Strangest fish I have....and Kind of common but not really. I think they are strange because it's like a cross between a catfish and a pleco all in one. I must have missed this post..sorry.. wow he is the strangest fish.. does look like a cat and a pleco..very cool..do you still have him??

Why Yes I do have the o. niger (ripsaw catfish) I snapped those pictures a little while before posting them on here. Interesting thread I hope it sticks for a long time. Keep em' coming folks

Thank you so much.. all these interesting fish make it so much fun.. everyone with something that you don't see all the time and the rare that you NEVER see..please post a pic. We all learn together when we see something new.. ..how many i wonder ever saw the ripsaw catfish.. very unique to me... thanks!!

it's a tailipa butikifairi(sp),they are an african cichlid,EXTREMLY aggressive and there main diet is snails,i had a male and female that i tried to get to spawn but they where introduced to each other when they both where adult size so i didn't have much luck with that,they are now at a friends house where he is trying the same thing,when we moved them the male was 16" and the female was around 13",and they both where VERY thick
