Suggestion get whatever specimens may be in danger do to this project and have them listed as C.I.T.E.S. Appendix I, then report this dam building thingy to the US Deptment of Fish & Wild Life:screwy:. Whom will promptly contact your government and inform them that either they rethink the building of the Dam for the protection of the Endangered Wildlife. Or the US will begin Bombing every living thing in your country back in to the stone age. Because USFW:screwy: always does whats best for the endangered regardless of the cost to the rest of the Wildlife.

And they, USFW :screwy:doesn't really care where or how real the danger is to the endagered wildlife as along as they are listed as endangered Appendix I. Because the US & USFW:screwy: will put our 3 cents in, as long as there is a preceived danger we'll be there.

Oh wait I'm sorry USF&W only imposes this crap on it's own citizens. Oh well sorry I cannot help. Well I tried. Back to eating my popcorn.

The only thing I have gleaned from the last 4 pages of this thread is that it has reduced into an argument over the effectiveness of online petitions and everyone else nitpicking each other's post over inaccuracies. Who cares?

For the opposers: This is a thread that was started to help a cause someone saw conducive to spend their time. If you don't agree, then don't sign. All you're doing is keeping people away from this thread because it has turned into a flame war. What do you gain by doing this? Nothing. Let us simple minded idealists go play in our fantasy world.

yess this angers me alot there proposed fish lifts which supposedly lift the fish over the wall and back actually kill more turtles then the fish it transports. this is yet another "easy way out" by the lazy qld gov. i mean this hasnt only angered fish enthusiasts it angers fisherman but even more so residents. theres even bumper stickers sayiung no damn. im against it as its a waste of money and yet another short term solution. y not invest in recycling water??? i mean id rather drink recyled water then the water weve got its treated alot more rigerously is skimmed quadriple reverse osmosised i mean i was watching a doc about some town in american they had a vote about it i think it was 95% against it. they sent a few months educating people throroughly and had a vote again and they had over 80% votes possibly more and they are almost done builging the treament plant. now the qld govermnemt is thinking of desalination plants once again a shoirt term ineffecient method. not only is it costy but uses electricity which means burning coalwhich meansd greater emiisions and so on. personally i think wake up geeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. it annoys me soo muchanyway thanks fer listening to my ranting and raving
