Don't get me wrong, I love the yard in the spring & summer. We get a lot of butterflies and dragonflies during the warmer months. During the fall & winter seasons, everything just kind of dies off and it's boring and ugly. I've been to the New England area (MA, ME, NH, Conn, Upper NY) during the fall months and it was breath taking. I never saw so many different colors in the trees..... Oh, and the 2nd picture is an olive orchard. We have grape vines on that gazebo/deck thing in the 1st picture. Plum and Cherry trees to the right of that. They give off just enough fruit for the family and a few of natures little critters.
