Seems to have settled in nicely now that the power struggle is over... King of the tank... BUSTER!!!

I really don't know what the guy was talking about this cat being lazy during the day... he's ALWAYS up to something....Both of them are... Happy Cats are cats on the move! and these guys seems to be estatic!

Great pick up. TSN are awesome. Have all three of mine eating out of my hand. That is rather small for a 3 year old. Then again I did rescue a 3 year old channel that was only 8" one time. The owners were like wow he's grown as he hid and they never saw him. They fed him flakes.

sweet save, i tend to do same thing, got 2 rtc and a rtcxtsn now sure ill get more lol

Yeah I know he's tiny for 3... I come to learn that he was housed in a 60 gallon for the first 2 yrs of his life and the guy said "his growth rate was really slow" Then the guy built a 500 gallon tank for his fish a year ago and said "it's funny cause his growth rate seems to have picked up again" I was like  how small was he at 2yrs old if this is him showing signs of a faster growth rate???? Guy said I don't remember but I think it was around 10-12"...

that's sad. I know a guy that told me he had a tsn that was 29" in a 55 gal tank. He said he had him for 5 years, and wanted to sell it to me for $1200. I told him yeah right it will only take me like 2 years to grow one out that big, and that he must be mistaken on the size if it's in a 55 gal. No suprise like 6 months later I talked to him again and he said it died.

It amazes me that people can do that. :irked: I worked at a lfs while I was in high school and college and I was shocked to hear what conditions fish came from when we were taking them in.

Just a few memorable ones:

- A 15" channel cat in a 30 gallon.
- A 22" Clown Knife in a 55 gallon.
- (and my favorite) A 22" Silver arowana in a 46 BOWFRONT!!! The spine was so curved on the aro that it couldn't even swim straight.

What can you do though... I mean I was happy as hell that I got him but sad at the same time cause I know he'll never reach his potential and his life is definetly been shortened by that...All we can do is make sure that we provide them with the best care we can and hope that they enjoy themselfs while they are in OUR care ;)

you should change your name to catlover34 LOL
