Actually The name is from 1992 when I was heavy into car sterios and it was bass as in base (boom boom) and it's just stuck ever since
ha ha ha
now thats "bass" from the past

I swear to god that I just fed the tank with Buster and Tigger and Tigger seems to have stolen some extra pieces of Fillet from Buster (buster's not crazy about fillets so he mouths it alot)who sucks it in .. spits it out sucks it in spits it out till he gets just the right way then down the hatch for good... well it didn't take long before Tigger figured out the secret to extra food cause he was sitting a good 3 feet away while Buster was doing this and out of no where... WHAM!!! Fillet ALL GONE BYE BYE LOL

busters not happy now i guess
but i think now he will have some more respect for the food :ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

Thats hilarious. I love cat fish, hopefully someday I will have a tank large enough to house one. Right now I am stuck with this tiny 55g and as far as I know there is no cat that stays small enough for it. I can only imagin how funny they can be in a tank, do all cat fish "talk" as well?

Nice pick up.

lol, I've seen lumpy go into the mouth of my rtc after shrimp and hotdogs before. Kinda funny to watch. Oh, and the RTC has been affectionately named fat Albert by the neighbors. Good job with your's. Let's see if you can't bring him out of his stuntedness. I've had fish that seemed to grow fine after being stunted for a long time, but the amount of time that your's was stunted is ridiculous. My smallest tsn was stunted, but seems unaffected now. He's growing good after an initial slow start.

All I can do is try... He seems happy so I must be doing something right... It's been since Saturday and he's been active everyday all day(which according to the old owner all he did was lay there all day and only became active at night) So I'm assuming that he's enjoying his new surroundings (even though they are smaller than his old home I'm guessing my water quality is better since when I took him from the shipping box that he was in with his old water ... it was yellow! :irked: mine is CLEAR and CLEAN! :D )

Sounds good to me. Yeah, I've noticed since you mentioned it that when I moved the smallest tsn recently to his new larger tank he became very active. Although I attribute that to his very active tank mates 2 large limas, and 1 very active bullhead. Everytime I put a tsn in with my limas they all school together. Kinda wish one would stay small enough to live with my limas then everyone would say wow that one looks strange lol. It will be kinda cool to track your progress to see if these fish can be pulled out of long term stunts. If it's anything like what I have expirienced you might not see much growth for the first 2-3 months and then wham. It's just like it's supposed to be.
