Everyone's dream freshwater monster?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
he has a lot of monster fish in that tank, he has a few peacock bass in the 12-18 inch range, a giant gourami around 16-18 inches, a few large bala sharks and silver dollars, and I think he used to have a northern pike in there for a short time but he sold it. He takes in a lot of stuff that people can't handle, but I live in a small area so very few people can handle fish of that size, let alone that many so they just sit there forever and kinda just become store pets that are for sale
Yeah, sucks that stuff like that happens. I don't know if he can afford a bigger tank, but it would be good.

Another cool tank set up would be a native style tank with muskies/pikes/pickerel, bass, sunfish, bluegill, crappies, bullhead catfish, etc. Cabelas in hamburg has a tank with them here. Cabelas also has a really cool stream setup with trout, they used to let you feed them, too, IDK if they still have that or not.

Last time I was there they had what looked like hundreds of baby muskies in their tanks.

Oh wow! I haven't been in there in a few years, planning on heading up this summer though since I'm getting back into fishing
It was about a year ago when I was there.

Musky but I’m weird like that ‍♂
not at all weird! A musky would be in my top 10 for sure, what's not to love about this sexy beast

Bowfin would be pretty cool to have, too, they remind me of channa

I made a thread like this a couple years ago, but let's see if anyone's dream fish has changed. I'm also cutting it down to freshwater this time too.
Also this time, you can only pick one; if you only had the time, money, and space for ONE monster fish, what would it be?
I'll start, for me it'd be a good quality platinum RTC. Not one of those albinos with the yellow tint and the red fins, just one of those real expensive pretty ones that are shiny white all over.

I have yet to see an all white/shiny platinum/golden rtc retaining the white into adulthood :) . In fact, I believe all the 'platinum rtc' out there are indeed xanthic rtc.
