my first tank was a 10 gallon starter kit. it cost a rediculous amount of money( i think over a hundered) bugged my parents for months. I had a koi some neons ,that the koi ate, and a blue gourami that just wouldnt die, had the thing for like 3 years till I found down the hall one morning. ahh the memories.

I believe it was 1972 it had a steel frame 10 gallon with internal sponge filter with a slate bottom. I had zebras,mollies,swordtails. I do not remember it having a light I think I had a small lamp sitting next to it.This is it without the top,mine was given to me by an uncle and did not have top!

You don't only need digital cameras to take pictures?

correct, but back then, the tank was to enjoy alone and it seemed odd to think of taking pictures to have developed and share.

Never mind the fact that I was 5.

Digital cameras (and the net) make taking and sharing pictures a lot easier, especially since you can find people that actually care

When I got my first tank, digital cameras were unheard of.

Werd, hell I still don't have a digital camera.
