I was looking through my photos and found a lot of old pictures of my little 23 gallon tank. Ive made a lot of changes and just wanted to show you how it has changed over time!

When I first got it, it was for my annoying, very shy texas cichlid:

As time went on and the cichlid was still painfully shy (I had tried everything), we gave it away and decided to get two convict cichlids:

(sorry for the blurry picture, they were soo fast!)
*Note: this was around the time of an algae bloom

The male kept attacking the female (because it wanted to breed) and nearly killed it, so we quickly rushed them both back to the store...

after some thought I decided to give up cichlids and make a small, peaceful community tank.

After many weeks of fighting and disgust, I eventually got rid of the floating algae bloom:

And then of coarse another type of unstoppable algae had to kick in...:duh:

After weeks and weeks of more fighting, I finally put my foot down and restarted:
The tank went downstairs, I got black gravel, 4 different types of plants and some nice driftwood and rocks, a black background etc.
It was a whole new tank!:headbang2

And here is a picture i took yesterday!

(Darn fish move so much)
Never been algae since I restarted! (of coarse it was the stupid window upstairs...)

That is all that has happened so far, and I hope that is all (except for maybe the carpet plants growing a bit more) that happens, because i like it how it is! It is stable in water quality, and a pretty nice tank imo!

The pics from the last 4 posts don’t work for me.
